My frustration on this subject sometimes gets a little too out of hand, so I'll try to keep it cool here. The subject of my frustration is how people forget my birthday all the time. I know it's not just me either. When I share this with other people, they sometimes tell me how it happens to them too.

So what's the deal? Is it just that people are becoming more foregetful, or have we always been like this? I don't know the answer to that, but I have a solution. What people need to realize is that technology has made it so we have no good reason to forget a birthday ever again. Think about all the ways we can prompt ourselves to remember, using technology. We can sign up for birthday reminders and put all of our contacts birthdays in. We can stick them in our Facebook accounts. We can put them in our phones and have an alarm go off. There are so many things we can do, it's not even funny.

So here's the deal. The next time you are online set up some birthday reminders and have them set up together with soem free birthday ecards. Because when you have the reminder there in your face, you don't want to risk forgetting by having to go buy a paper card. Best to just send something right then.
